On Thursday, Sen. Maria Collett (D-Montgomery) was elected to serve as Caucus Secretary, while Sen. Katie Muth (D-Montgomery) was elected to serve as Democratic Policy Chair.
Collett will be succeeding state Sen. Larry Farnese (D-Philadelphia), who lost his reelection bid in the Democratic primary to Senator-elect Nikil Saval, as Caucus Secretary. Muth will be taking over for Sen. Lisa Boscola (D-Northampton) as Democratic Policy Chair.
Senate Minority Leader Jay Costa (D-Allegheny), Minority Whip Anthony Williams (D-Philadelphia), Minority Appropriations Committee Chairman Vincent Hughes (D-Philadelphia), and Caucus Chairman Wayne Fontana (D-Allegheny) will all remain in their positions in leadership for the upcoming session.
I am, again, humbled by the trust my @PaSenateDems colleagues have placed in me to serve as leader of this dynamic and diverse caucus. I believe the strength of our caucus comes from that diversity: ideologically, geographically and demographically.

Senator Muth is a FIERCE advocate for survivors of sexual assault and the most vulnerable Pennsylvanians. She is an environmental champion and quite frankly is also a genuine kind person.
As long as you agree with Muth, she is a genuinely kind person.
Just dont disagree with her, or question her position, or try to explain your position that she doesn’t understand.
And before long, they’ll have one less in their caucus. They are good at making that caucus shrink in numbers.
Dems double down with progressives although they just got smoked for it.
Let’s see if Republicans are stupid enough to go far right.
Dems have leadership with a future.
