PA-10: Marino Holds Seat

Tom Marino, Republican incumbent in PA-10, held his seat in today’s election from challengers Democrat Scott Brion and Independent Nick Troiano.

With 99% of precincts reporting, Marino won the district with 63% of the vote defeating Brion and Troiano, who received 25% and 13%, respectively.

Marino, formerly a US Attorney as well as District Attorney of Lycoming County, was elected to Congress in 2010. He is a native of Lycoming County and campaigned on a platform of economic responsibility and small government. The district is located in far northeastern Pennsylvania spans fifteen counties and includes Williamsport.

PA-12: Rothfus Re-Elected

Keith Rothfus, who joined Congress after defeating Mark Critz in the 2012 election, was re-elected in PA-12, besting businesswoman Erin McClelland by 18 points.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Rothfus won 59% of the vote compared to McClelland’s 41%.

Rothfus is a former corporate attorney who also served as the first director DHS’ Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. He campaigned on a platform of growing the economy and protecting veterans and seniors. The district is located in western Pennsylvania, and spans five counties from Beaver to Cambria.

PA-1: Bob Brady Elected to Ninth Term

Bob Brady, a Democrat who has served in Congress since 1998 won handily against Republican challenger Megan Rath.

The district is composed of parts of south and central Philadelphia as well as a portion of Delaware county.

With 97% of precincts reporting, Brady won by 66 points, 83% to 17%.

PA-2: Fattah Re-Elected in Landslide

The district includes parts of north and west Philadelphia, as well as a portion of Montgomery county.

PA-3: Kelly Wins Over LaVallee

Mike Kelly, Republican incumbent defeated Democratic challenger Dan LaVallee in PA-3.

The district is located in northwestern Pennsylvania and includes the cities of Erie and Butler.

With 99% of precincts reporting, Kelly led LaVallee 61% to 39%.

PA-4: Perry Defeats Thompson

Republican incumbent Scott Perry defeated Democratic challenger Linda Deliah Thompson in PA-4.

The district is located in south central Pennsylvania.

With 93% of precincts reporting, Perry won 74% of the vote compared to Thompson’s 26%.

PA-5: Thompson Trounces Taylor

Glenn “GT” Thompson, Republican incumbent in PA-5 defeated Democratic challenger, Kerith Strano Taylor.

The district is located in north-central Pennsylvania and spans sixteen counties.

With 99% of precincts reporting, Thompson claimed 64% of the vote while Taylor claimed 36%.

PA-7: Meehan Re-Elected

Republican incumbent, Pat Meehan was re-elected in PA-7, defeating Mary Ellen Balchunis.

The district is located in southeastern Pennsylvania and stretches from Berks to Delaware Counties.

With 91% of precincts reporting Meehan won 62% to 38%.

PA-9: Shuster Stays

Bill Shuster, Republican incumbent in PA-9 won re-election by 28 points over Allan Hartzok.

The district is located in southwestern Pennsylvania and includes portions of 12 counties.

With 99% of precincts reporting, Shuster claimed victory 64% to 36%.

PA-11: Barletta Bests Ostrowski

Republican incumbent Lou Barletta held on to his seat, defeating Andy Ostrowski.

The district is located in east central Pennsylvania.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Barletta won 66% to 34%.

PA-13: Boyle Wins NE Philly

Democrat Brendan Boyle won by 34 points over Republican Dee Adcock.

The D+13 district includes parts of northeast Philadelphia and Montgomery county.

With 98% of precincts reporting, Boyle received 67% of the vote.

PA-16: Pitts Beats Houghton

Republican incumbent Joe Pitts defeated Democratic challenger Tom Houghton in PA-16.

The district is located in southeastern Pennsylvania around Lancaster county.

Pitts won 58% of the vote, and Houghton claimed 42%.

PA-17: Cartwright Maintains Seat

Democratic incumbent Matt Cartwright beat Republican challenger David Moylan by 14 points.

The district is located in central eastern Pennsylvania.

Cartwright claimed 57% of the vote, and Moylan claimed 43%.
