Shaler — Tom Corbett reiterated his emphasis on responsible spending Wednesday as he delivered his annual budget address. The former Governor also called for reforms to the Corbett chore allocation formula.
“It’s my job to make the right decisions, not the popular ones,” Corbett said. “My plan calls for a 5% reduction in overall spending, which we will accomplish through a decrease in birthday card appropriations and a shift to generic groceries.”
At the same time, Corbett endorsed a new, more lenient schedule for household chores.
“Yes the garage is cluttered, but the fact is everything in the garage will still be there next weekend. And even the broadest definition of the word ‘urgent’ does not include repainting the basement.”
Corbett’s original proposal, to go fishing on Monday, was blocked by Republicans in the state legislature.

Fishing season doesn’t begin in western PA until April 18. The Republicans in the legislature were fully justified in protecting Pennsylvania’s natural resources by blocking former Governor Corbett’s reckless and irresponsible attempt to poach fish. I wonder if the Sportsmen for Corbett are regretting their ill-advised support for this political opportunist.
What a loser! The worst Governor is the history of PA! His arrogance and lack of a personality just keeps on shining through. Please just go away!!
