After word that that the Democratic Congressional Committee would run ads targeting 19 districts nationwide— with PA in the lead with three—Republicans have struck back in defense. Crossroads GPS, a conservative group, plans to air radio ads in the same 19 districts, according to The Fix.
The DCCC began airing radio ads and conducting phone calls on Monday that target Republicans, including Lou Barletta (R-11), Mike Fitzpatrick (R-8) and Pat Meehan (R-7). The campaign’s message brings to light that Republicans’ push for spending cuts would ultimately create job loss. In rebuttal, Crossroads’ ads stress decreasing government spending and ending bailouts to help small businesses.
Crossroads’ campaign is purported to top the DCCC’s relatively meagre ad buy, which had a $90,000 total estimated cost of airtime. Crossroads was a major player in the GOP’s success in the 2010 elections, contributing almost $40 million to the party’s candidates.
The DCCC was quick to respond to the news and hit back against Crossroads.
“As much as they try to distract from these plans, special interest groups like this one can’t distract from the dangerous
plan that would make us less competitive and hurt our economy at the worst possible time. The question is what does American Crossroads expect for their protection of Representatives Barletta, Fitzpatrick and Meehan,” said Jesse Ferguson of the DCCC.

I would ask DCCC’s Jesse Ferguson the exact same question re their support of Democratic nominees.
Patrick Murphy did not disappoint anyone in the 8th District. As expected, he and his Party supporter started attacking Mike Fitzpatrick within hours after the Republican’s election win. They were so obvious (and pathetic) even the Democrats were embarrassed for him/them.
