Sen. Casey Seeks Federal Resources for Pipeline Safety

In response to Wednesday’s natural gas pipeline explosion in Allentown that claimed the lives of five people, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) today sent a letter to Cynthia Quarterman, Administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), calling on the agency to improve gas pipeline safety, increase funding and manpower for pipeline inspections and provide additional assistance to the states.
