Sestak for Gov rumors, the Rendells split up, Biden visits Philadelphia, and The Fix breaks down the redistricting picture in PA.
Gov. Rendell and his wife, U.S. District Court Judge Marjorie “Midge” Rendell, announced in an e-mail to friends today that they will be “living separately” now that they have left the Governor’s Mansion in Harrisburg.
The most likely outcome of the GOP’s redistricting efforts in Pennsylvania appears to be combining the districts of Reps. Jason Altmire and Mark Critz, according to a Washington Post analysis published today.

Joe Sestak ran against the Democratic Party establishment in his 2010 primary. Now, as rumors circulate about a possible 2014 campaign for governor, things are looking far more cozy.
The White House has just announced that Vice President Joe Biden will be traveling to Philadelphia tomorrow with Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. The White House couldn’t confirm whether the VP will be arriving via Amtrak, but PoliticsPA thinks it would be apropos.
The Steelers lose a heartbreaker. PoliticsPA covers the Democratic State Committee meeting, where both David Wecht and Kathryn Boockvar had a good day. We’ll follow up on other rumors, too (including that McCord and Sestak are looking at 2014 gubernatorial campaigns).
By a second ballot vote of 221-43, Bucks County attorney Kathryn Bockvar won the Democratic State Committee’s endorsement for the open seat on PA Commonwealth Court.
Democratic State Committee members endorsed David Wecht today as their nominee for Superior Court, ultimately defeating colleague and Allegheny native Robert Colville by acclamation.
Senator Bob Casey hosted a “Brewskis with Bob” event for Democrats this evening at their state committee meeting. In a brief conversation with PoliticsPA, Casey spoke a little to his 2012 campaign.
