State Takeover of Harrisburg Could Start Tonight

Tonight is a big night for Harrisburg. City leaders have the unenviable choice between handing over control of the city, or seeing it taken. If Harrisburg city council members don’t produce a recovery plan tonight Governor Corbett will issue a state takeover of the financially troubled capital.

Perzel Issues Apology

This afternoon, former PA House Speaker John Perzel plead guilty to eight counts of conspiracy, theft and conflict of interest that resulted from then-Attorney General Tom Corbett’s sweeping “Bonusgate” investigation. Perzel issued the following statement.
