Poll: Smith Leads Senate Race

Tom Smith is atop the field of Republicans seeking to unseat Sen. Bob Casey, according to a poll released this morning. Smith has 25.7 percent to Sam Rohrer’s 17.9 percent, but a strong 48.2 percent of respondents are still undecided.

3/29 Morning Buzz

Good morning politicos, here’s the Buzz. The TV war in PA-12 has turned negative. So has SD-37. Meanwhile, while there are a few updates in the U.S. Senate race, so far they don’t matter. Only 19 percent of GOP voters have an opinion in the race.

Former Pa. Rep. True Backs Romney

As the Presidential race heats up, expect endorsements from Pa. Republicans to be heatedly sought after. In a press release today, Mitt Romney announced former Pennsylvania State Representative Katie True (R-Lancaster) will be supporting him.

Altmire, Critz Accuse Each Other (Accurately) of Favoring Some Parts of New District

Their internal polls show it clearly: Jason Altmire is strongest in his part of the new 12th district, Beaver County and the Pittsburgh suburbs. Mark Critz is strongest in the Johnstown Somerset region. Now both campaigns are sending out recordings of their opponent admitting it.
