The name of his fantasy football team is a good one – “Any Given Sunday.”
And a week ago, Election Day became that day.
York County District Attorney Dave Sunday defeated former state Auditor General Eugene DePasquale, 51-46%, to become Pennsylvania’s next Attorney General.
Sunday won 60 of the Commonwealth’s 67 counties to register a 330,000 vote triumph. He was able to bring Republicans back home who voted for Gov. Josh Shapiro in the 2022 gubernatorial race, turning Bucks, Centre, Erie, Lehigh and Northampton counties red again.
DePasquale was only able to secure pluralities in Allegheny, Chester, Dauphin, Delaware, Lackawanna, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. And six of those margins were reduced by seven or more points from Shapiro’s win two years ago. Only Allegheny County was able to keep within a five-point margin of 2022.
Here is an interactive map showing Sunday’s margins throughout the state. Totals are unofficial until certified by the Department of State.

Why was McCormicks lead so small and the state office races not?
What’s up with the registered voter numbers in Dauphin and Lancaster counties? I didn’t check them all.
Thanks for pointing that out, Bryan. It has been corrected.
