DCRC: CHAIRMAN MCNALLY CONGRATULATES NEW COUNTY COMMISSIONER MIKE PRIES

HARRISBURG, PA-Dauphin County Republican Committee Chairman John J. McNally III released the following statement regarding President Judge Todd A. Hoover’s announcement that Michael H.W. Pries was selected by the Court of Common Pleas to serve the remainder of Commissioner Dominic “Nick” DiFrancesco’s term, which expires in 2011.

“After a thorough review process, our committee recognized that Mike Pries was best suited to govern from day one and pick up where Nick DiFrancesco left off. A strong addition to Commissioners Jeff Haste and George Hartwick III, Mike will put the people of Dauphin County before politics by continuing to run Dauphin County right.”

29 candidates submitted their resumes to Judge Todd A. Hoover and the Dauphin County Republican Committee for consideration.

“It is a testament to the strength of the Republican Party in Dauphin County that 29 solid candidates came forward with an interest to serve as County Commissioner. I hope that they and others will continue to stay engaged with our elected leaders to continue to grow our Party and preserve the quality of life we enjoy in Dauphin County.”
