Former Philadelphia GOP Chairman Joe DeFelice is joining the Trump administration as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator for Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The region covers Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.
“I look forward to advancing HUD’s mission across the Mid-Atlantic region by helping underserved neighborhoods become thriving communities, expanding homeownership opportunities for credit-worthy citizens, and helping eradicate homelessness–especially for our veterans,” DeFelice said in a statement announcing the appointment.
DeFelice was the Chairman of the Philadelphia GOP during the 2016 election, and stepped down on April 21st in preparation for an appointment in the administration.
DeFelice has been involved in community organizations in development, including serving as chairman of the Mayfair Community Development Corporation, president of the Mayfair Civic Association, and board member of the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia. He is also a professor of American Government at LaSalle and Widener Universities.
“My passion for community development started in my own neighborhood, working alongside developers, local leaders and nonprofits to bring about positive change. Having worked as a community leader, I certainly have an appreciation for the tough challenges facing communities across the region,” DeFelice said.

The Vare Brothers’ Organization could really roll up the numbers in a primary for the candidates of their choice. I doubt we will ever see a political organization that finely tuned again.
We need the Vare Brothers to return!!

They (Vare Bros.) had 75,000 votes “if they needed them”.
Best thing that happened to the republician party in Philadelphia was him leaving, he’s a big fraud.
