Democrats are determined to pick up some House seats in Southeast PA. So much so that it appears some of them are putting their money where their mouths are.
According to Simone Pathe of Roll Call, a Democratic Super PAC has already reserved TV time in the Philadelphia media market.
House Majority PAC has secured $7.5 million in reservations for ads later this year. $730,000 of that is indexed for Philly.
The most competitive race in SEPA is the PA-8 contest which features Democrats Steve Santarsiero and Shaughnessy Naughton fighting for the chance to take on likely GOP nominee (and brother of the incumbent) Brian Fitzpatrick.
PA-6 and PA-7, though, are considered on the outer rim of competitiveness and may factor into the equation as well.
A reminder that this TV time could still be withdrawn so nothing is guaranteed, although it does supply a view of how Democrats view the electoral landscape like at this particular moment.

It has been challenged in court. They lost one round of it the last time, even with a shitty GOP court.
New court will kick this gerrymandered sh*t out.
Montco PA Dem: Your list is correct. GOP gerrymandering is so illegal, why has it not been challenged in court?
Gerlach was a dud, yet he could be elected by dud in Berks.

It’s pretty much guaranteed they will screw the local Dems (again) on this.

More delusional? Sanders supporters.
Stupider? More gullible? More dangerous? Trump supporters.
Gotta go with Philly on this. Reality is:
A)Bernie will not be the nominee
B)Suburban districts will not be in play (gerrymandering wins)
C)UNLESS Trump is the nominee and
D)Repub turnout is way down, creating another big, Blue wave.
The idea that Sanders will provide any coattails as the nominee is laughable. He openly shuns the idea of raising money for down-ticket candidates–something Hillary Clinton is already doing. People say there will be a surge in turnout, but that has failed to materialize in Democratic primaries.
Remember that Gerlach won PA-06 in 2008–when it was much more friendly turf to Democrats–even as Obama carried the district something like 57-43.
New poll: more delusional: Trump supporters or Sanders supporters?
If Bernie is the nominee, ALL those districts will be in play, given his huge support among independents – and the surge in new voters he provides.
