Priorities USA Action, a Democratic Super PAC, is running a new TV ad against Donald Trump in Pennsylvania and several other states.
In the commercial Michelle DeFord, a Gold Star mother, gives her take on the GOP nominee. She first recounts the story of how her son, David Johnson, first joined the Army Reserves. Then, she talks about how David lost his life in Iraq.
DeFord then tears into Trump for his comments surrounding the Khans. The Khans were at the Democratic National Convention and Khizr Khan gave a powerful and much discussed speech where he went after Trump for his proposed Muslim ban.
Trump attacked Khizr Khan for his comments and suggested that Ghazal Khan was prohibited by her husband from speaking at the DNC. Ghazal published an op-ed firing back at Trump for that insinuation.
“When I saw Donald Trump attack another Gold Star mother I felt such a sense of outrage” DeFord says.
“I would like to tell Donald Trump what it feels like, the sense of emptiness that only losing a child can bring,” she continues. “Those people should be honored and treated with kindness for the rest of their life, and I don’t think that Donald Trump will ever understand that.”
The sixty-second spot is part of a $5.4 million ad buy and is set to air in Pennsylvania as well as Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Ohio. It will also air nationally on MSNBC, CNN, & FOX News.

Hmmm who attacked who first on National TV? If I recall right, it was the shameful Gold Star Family who attacked Donald Trump first. Sorry for their loss as I am a War Veteran myself and have seen many lives lost. However which candidate really support Veterans and the Military. Only one has raised millions and donated to various Veteran organizations and made a 1 million dollar contribution out of his own pocketbook and that is Donald Trump. Hillary donated how much? $ 0.00 Donald Trump also speaks clearly that he is going to make the Military Big and Strong. While Obama has weakened our Military and Hillary will continue to do the same. He shows much respect to the Military and it’s Veterans. Actions speak louder than words.
Shameful but what else would you expect from Killary Clinton,? That woman’s husband is an immigration lawyer and would certainly take a hit if Trump becomes President. Also he sits on the Board for the Clinton Foundation. But the liberal news media has hidden these facts from the general public. Shameful!!!
There is nothing worse than burying a child. There is nothing more repugnant than witnessing the parents/family using their child’s death as a means to achieve personal/professional/political goals.
It’s amazing watching so many Republicans jumping through incredible mental and rhetorical hoops to defend the indefensible. The hypocrisy is palpable. If the tables were turned, they would be crying treason and calling for heads, but they are so committed to the idea that Democrats don’t care about soldiers and that the Republican Party is the party of the military, despite all evidence indicating otherwise, that they just can’t process it. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
It is great to see reasonable Republicans step up and speak the truth about Trump. This should not be happening. A loud, ignorant bigot should not be this close to the Presidenccy.
