Democrats Rally to Toomey’s Message of Fiscal Responsibility

Allentown – Today, as Joe Sestak tries to pretend he is “independent,” U.S. Senate candidate and former small business owner Pat Toomey released an initial, partial list of Democrats for Toomey.  From all across Pennsylvania, Democrats are rallying to Pat Toomey’s message of fiscal responsibility and balance in Washington.

The list is below.

In addition, Congressman Sestak is so outside the mainstream, he has consistently sided with Nancy Pelosi’s extreme agenda while other Pennsylvania Democrats have rejected Sestak’s very liberal policies.  These include:

Cap and Trade (RC #477, 06/26/09): Forty-four Democrats voted against the cap-and-trade energy tax.  Sestak voted Yes.

Wall Street Bailout (RC #681, 10/03/08): Sixty-three Democrats voted against the bailout.  Sestak voted Yes.

Second Wall Street Bailout (RC #27, 01/22/09): Ninety-nine Democrats voted against the bailout.  Sestak voted Yes.

Iran Sanctions: One hundred and seventy-seven House Democrats cosponsored the Iran Refined Petroleum Sanctions Act including 8 Pennsylvania Democrats.  Congressman Sestak did not cosponsor the bill.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed: Every major Pennsylvania Democrat opposes trying 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in a civilian court in Pennsylvania.  Sestak supports the move (Wall Street Journal, 02/25/10).

Marcellus Shale: Both Governor Ed Rendell and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Dan Onorato oppose Joe Sestak’s moratorium on the development of the Marcellus Shale (WTAE ABC, 06/21/10).
