Double-Check That Ballot

ballotVoters in several PA counties will have special ballots today, without Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Joe Vodvarka.

Democrats in Washington County will cast their primary ballots for all contests except for the Senate race on electronic voting machines, Ryan Deto of the Pittsburgh City Paper reports.

All four Democratic Senate candidates – Joe Sestak, Katie McGinty, John Fetterman and Vodvarka – will appear on paper ballots, with results expected to trickle in from the southwestern county.

Democrats in Lancaster and Columbia counties will see Sestak, McGinty and Fetterman on their electronic ballots and will have to write-in Vodvarka’s name to cast their vote for the small business owner.

Vodvarka’s name was taken off the ballot on March 30th after a ruling by the Commonwealth Court, though his name was reinstated last Tuesday by PA Supreme Court.

Vodvarka told the Pittsburgh City Paper it is unfair he had just seven days to campaign for the seat, while his son/campaign manager Jesse said the ballot issues could affect his father’s chances.

In the state’s other 64 counties, Vodvarka’s name will appear at the top of Senate pile.

  1. It will be easy to find the Zappala voting line. Just check the Black Hand symbol.

It was the highlight of the debate!

VodVarka made the complaint that Sestak’s actions prevented him from participating in other debates.

It was nice seeing SOMEONE finally attack Joe in a debate and call him out. Sestak is visibly shaken and trying hard to pretend it didn’t happen by rushing through his talking points.

If Fetterman or McGinty had the guts to call Sestak out, this would have been a very different race.
