End Citizens United Announced Two Endorsements in Pennsylvania

End Citizens UnitedEnd Citizens United, a Democratic PAC that pushes to change the way campaigns are financed, announced a round of 10 Congressional endorsements including Christina Hartman and state Senator Daylin Leach.  Hartman is running in the 16th Congressional district, and Leach is running in the 7th Congressional district.

“Each of these candidates has vowed to curb the corrupting influence that money has over our politics and fight to enact meaningful reform that will upend this system. We’re thrilled to support their campaigns and work with our grassroots members to help elect them,” End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller said in the announcement.

The endorsement for both candidates will likely help in the primary as they look to solidify their base ahead of contested primaries.

In the 7th district, Paul Perry, one of Leach’s primary opponents announced he was exiting the race in part because of the fundraising demands of a Congressional campaign.

  1. All dems in both these races oppose Citizens United. Ironically, these are the 2 biggest fundraisers. What is the point of this endorsement?

  2. You “End Citizen United” people need to read the US Constitution! Focus on the 1st Amendment and then jump to Article V to grasp how your living in a fantasy in re amending the Constitution!

    1. Just because you wouldn’t be able to amend the Constitution tomorrow doesn’t mean it’s not worth starting somewhere.

Susan B. Anthony died 14 years before the 19th Amendment was ratified. Elizabeth Cady Stanton died 18 years before. Yet I still hear talk about how they were important in the movement for women’s suffrage.
