With the 2015 judicial elections just around the corner, endorsements have been pouring in.
So many testimonials have been released this past week that we haven’t had the chance to get to all of them. Therefore, we are compiling all of those endorsements below.
PA Supreme Court
Christine Donohue/Kevin Dougherty/David Wecht
All three Democratic nominees received the endorsement of Governor Tom Wolf yesterday.
“Pennsylvania needs Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty and David Wecht on the Supreme Court. As we’ve seen earlier this year with the historic decision by the U.S. Supreme Court that affirmed equality and fairness for all Americans, it is crucially important to have Justices who put the constitution and people above politics, ideology, and special interests,” Wolf said.
“Judges Donahue, Dougherty, and Wecht all have extensive legal backgrounds and a record of standing up for Pennsylvanians. We can count on them to restore honor to our judicial system,” said Wolf.
Michael George
On Wednesday, George won the support of the PA FOP.
“It is the privilege of the Fraternal Order of Police, Pennsylvania Lodge, representing more than 40,000 law enforcement officers throughout Pennsylvania, to present you our highest endorsement for your candidacy to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.”
“As the President Judge of the Adams County Court of Common Pleas in your second term, you have proven your commitment to the citizens of your community and the State of Pennsylvania.
You have proven to the Fraternal Order of Police Pennsylvania State Lodge not only your commitment to the community, but your strong allegiance to the law enforcement community and we stand with great pride in support of you.” President Les Neri wrote.
“I am humbled to receive the support of men and women who risk their own personal safety on a daily basis to keep our community safe,” stated George, “Having over 30 years of experience in the criminal justice system I recognize the critical roles of these selfless individuals in preserving our ability to raise our families in a safe environment.”
PA Commonwealth Court
Paul Lalley
Last Friday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editorial board backed Lalley.
“Mr. Lalley’s enthusiasm for the law is apparent and contagious. In a tight contest of qualified candidates, the Post-Gazette endorses Paul Lalley for Commonwealth Court.”
Michael Wojcik
Meanwhile, the Democratic nominee won the support of the PA SEIU.
“While extreme special interests are trying to take the rights of hardworking men and women, this is an important moment to elect a Commonwealth Court judge who will stand up for working families. Throughout his distinguished career, Michael Wojcik has repeatedly demonstrated a commitment to protecting the rights of all people under the law.
“As the son of a 60-year United Mine Worker, Wojcik’s education and life is built on the wages and benefits won by the labor movement in Pennsylvania. A former Allegheny Council Solicitor and now in private practice, Wojcik has a record of ensuring equal justice under the law. He is active in the fight against Voter ID, fought to protect voting rights of people with disabilities, minorities and college students, and provides free legal services to women seeking Protection for Abuse orders.
“The working families of Pennsylvania need Michael Wojcik on Commonwealth Court and the members of SEIU will proudly put him on a path to victory.”

Seems Gulag lost a case decided by Judge Donahue.
If truth be known, and acted on, Christine Donohue would have a long CRIMINAL record.
