Supreme Court candidate Kevin Dougherty became the first of the six nominees to hit the airwaves today.
Dougherty, a Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge, is airing his premiere ad in the Pittsburgh market in order to raise his name ID in western PA (we analyzed how SEPA-heavy Dougherty’s primary totals were last May).
Not surprisingly, Dougherty’s first spot is a bio piece that focuses on his experience.
“When Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court need a new leader to oversee our State’s largest court system, they turned to Judge Kevin Dougherty,” the narrator begins.
The commercial goes on to mention Dougherty’s work as a prosecutor and in the family court.
“Tough, fair, recommended by the Bar. Dougherty for Supreme Court,” the ad concludes.
Dougherty is a Democratic nominee for one of the three open seats on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
