A former Norristown Borough Council President announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate. Here is the Playbook. 

Former Norristown Borough Council President Launches 2022 Senate Bid: John McGuigan, a software executive who once served as President of the Norristown Borough Council in the 1990s, announced that he is seeking the Democratic Party nomination for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania in 2022.

Two Labor Unions Back Fetterman for Senate: According to a release, United Steelworkers District 10 and the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776 have endorsed Lt. Gov. John Fetterman’s bid for Senate.  

Laborers Endorse Peduto for Mayor: According to a release from Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto’s campaign, Laborers’ District Council of Western PA, Laborers’ Local Union #1058, and Local Union #373 have endorsed Peduto’s reelection bid. 

Rothman Appointed Deputy Chairman for House Policy Committee: State Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) has been appointed by Majority Policy Chairman Martin Causer to serve as a deputy chairman on the House Policy Committee, according to a release from House Republicans. 

Wall Named Cartwright Finance Director: Blakely Wall is now the finance director for Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-Lackawanna), according to Politico. She most recently was Midwest and South finance assistant at the DSCC.
