U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) endorsed State Rep. Sara Innamorato (D-Allegheny) for Allegheny County Executive on Monday, citing her collaborative leadership style and ability to deliver transformational solutions for working people, such as the Whole Home Repairs Program she co-authored with State Senator Nikil Saval (D-Philadelphia).
“It’s a privilege to endorse Sara in this race for Allegheny County Executive,” said Fetterman. “Sara was a true leader on Pennsylvania’s Whole Home Repairs Program that was so successful, I’m fighting to bring it to the federal level. I served as Mayor in Braddock for four terms, and I know Sara has the tools to be a successful executive and bring people together from all around this county. It’s an honor to stand with Sara in this campaign, and I am proud to support her.”
“Senator John Fetterman has always demonstrated his love and care for the people of Allegheny County and the Commonwealth, and I am proud to have his support in this campaign for Allegheny County Executive,” said Innamorato. “Since his 67-county tour as Lieutenant Governor, I’ve seen that Senator Fetterman and I both are passionate about including the people we represent at the decision-making table. Together, we can create more opportunities for our neighbors across Allegheny County to thrive by building a green and just economy of the future, ensuring housing for all, expanding mental healthcare, investing in our young people, and strengthening our union power across this County.
Fetterman lives in Braddock, one of the 130 municipalities in Allegheny County, where he served as Mayor from 2006–2019.
