Fitzpatrick Announces Senior Coalition

Area seniors frustrated with Murphy’s cuts to Medicare

LEVITTOWN, Pa- Today Mike Fitzpatrick announced a coalition of senior citizens at a press conference at a press conference at the Garden of Eatin.  Fitzpatrick was joined by the co-chairs of the Seniors for Fitzpatrick Coalition Patti Medd and Jim Kinney and over forty local seniors.

“Mike Fitzpatrick has been a champion and advocate for senior citizens in our area,” Medd said, “meanwhile, Patrick Murphy robbed over $500 billion from Medicare and American seniors in order to pay for Obamacare.  We need new leadership in Congress, we need Mike Fitzpatrick now more than ever.”

Fitzpatrick has outlined a pro-senior agenda for the next Congress, including restoring Patrick Muprhy’s cuts to Medicare, strengthening Social Security, and ending the deficit spending that threatens vital senior programs.

“Patrick Murphy has turned his back on senior citizens.  He’s hurting us and hurting our grandchildren by adding trillions of dollars to our national debt to pay for Wall Street bailouts and bonuses.  Meanwhile, unemployment has doubled under Patrick Murphy’s watch and his stimulus bill has subsidized sending American jobs to China.”

The national senior association Sixty Plus recently endorsed Mike Fitzpatrick as the best candidate to protect the interests of Pennsylvania seniors.

“Patrick Murphy has put loyalty to Nancy Pelosi ahead of the interests of Pennsylvania seniors,” Fitzpatrick said, “our seniors deserve better than Patrick Murphy’s blind party loyalty.”
