Former Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski Arrives at Federal Prison in Connecticut

Former Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski has arrived at a federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut where he is expected to serve the rest of his sentence until his release date in November 2031, according to the Allentown Morning Call.

After his sentencing in late October, the former Democratic mayor was being held in a Philadelphia prison after being moved from Lehigh County jail, WFMZ reports.

In March, Pawlowski, 53, was convicted on 47 of 54 charges into allegations of pay-to-play politics in Allentown City Hall. Nine convictions were dismissed before sentencing, according to WFMZ.

Pawlowski resigned in March after winning re-election in November for a fourth term.

The prison Pawlowski will serve the rest of his sentence was the inspiration for the television show “Orange is the New Black”, the Morning Call reports.

  1. DONT DO THE CRIME IF YOU CANT DO THE TIME . HE COULD HAVE PLED GUILTY TO ONE CHARGE AND SERVE A YEAR AND A DAY .

  2. Susan Wild should be in the cell next to him. Not serving one term in Congress. Follow the money.

  3. Wow, the Mayor won’t be walking as a free man for over 12 years. If he got that much, one has to wonder how long Trump and his crime family will spend behind bars.
