Dave Sunday is the unofficial Republican nominee for Pennsylvania Attorney General, earning more than 7 in 10 votes cast in the primary.
The endorsed candidate of the Pennsylvania GOP, the York County District Attorney received 70.38 percent of the vote to easily outdistance Rep. Craig Williams (R-Chester/Delaware). In fact, Sunday won 66 of the state’s 67 counties, falling short of a complete sweep as Delaware County voted for its native son.
- David Sunday, 618,057 (70,38%)
- Craig Williams, 260,058 (29.62%)
PoliticsPA put together an interactive map of the vote totals by percentage received by Sunday and Williams to give you an indication of how the 67 counties cast their vote on Tuesday.
The map showing the breakdown for the Democratic candidates can be found here.
When comparing the vote breakdowns and maps and given the fact that Sunday represents south central PA, while Democrat Eugene DePasquale represents Allegheny County, it becomes clear that NEPA and the Philly collar counties will determine who will be the Commonwealth’s next top cop.
