Fundraising Report: Lalley Outraises Wojcik in Commonwealth Court Race

Paul-LalleyGiven the heavy stakes and attention focused on the Supreme Court contests, it would be easy to forget about the other judicial elections this November.

Nevertheless, a seat on the PA Commonwealth Court is up for grabs.

Republicans rallied behind and easily nominated attorney Paul Lalley. Meanwhile, Allegheny County Solicitor Michael Wojcik defeated the party’s choice, attorney Todd Eagen, in May’s Democratic primary.

That lack of party unity may explain the latest fundraising reports, covering the period from June 19th to September 22nd, where Wojcik raised less than Lalley spent.

The GOP nominee brought in $133,125 while the Democratic nominee’s haul was $70,750.

Lalley spent $75,985.48 while Wojcik compiled $24,320.86 in expenditures. Altogether, the former has $163,956.89 cash on hand while the latter has $48,865.75.

Finally, Wojcik has $11,500 in debts and other obligations while Lalley currently has none.

We’ll have a similar report for the Superior Court race. All judicial elections will take place on November 3rd.
