Newt Gingrich is coming home. The former House Speaker, who represented Georgia in Congress but was born and raised in Harrisburg, will speak this weekend at the Pa. Leadership Conference. South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will also attend as a Romney surrogate.

The conference is this Friday and Saturday.

PLC leader Lowman Henry announced last week that former Pa. Senator Rick Santorum would attend and speak at the annual gathering of movement conservatives. With the prolonged presidential primary making its way to Pa., the event is suddenly the hottest ticket in town.

Charlie Gerow, Gingrich’s Pa. campaign manager, said his appearance was all but set.

“He’ll be speaking Saturday afternoon as the clean up hitter,” Gerow said.

Haley, a high-profile surrogate for Romney, will speaking Friday.

This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Fox News Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume. Also scheduled to speak are presidential candidate Rick Santorum, former Presidential candidate Herman Cain, film producer Ann McElhinney, U.S. Senator Pat Toomey, Lt. Governor Jim Cawley, Grover Norquist from Americans for Tax Reform and Human Events White House correspondent and political editor John Gizzi. Candidates for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senator will debate at the conference luncheon on Saturday, March 24th.
