GOP Fall State Committee Preview

It was a long summer for Governor Corbett and the state GOP, but rather than looking back, the party is hoping to look forward towards an important fall legislative session and beyond into the election year of 2014.

This weekend the party will host its annual Fall Meeting, an opportunity for party members to meet, greet, and eat while planning for the months ahead. The meeting will take place at the Harrisburg Hilton on Friday and Saturday.

There are no big primaries brewing for the GOP, so the big story to watch: whether party regulars will embrace Gov. Corbett’s proposal to accept federal funding as part of a health care expansion under Obamacare.

The schedule for the weekend is as follows and includes just one extracurricular event:

Thursday, September 19
