The FY25 state budget appears to be complete.
Gov. Josh Shapiro announced on Thursday evening that he intends to sign a completed $47.6 billion budget later tonight.
Spokesman Manuel Bonder released a statement that said the legislative leaders in both parties have agreed to a 2024-25 fiscal plan.
“After months of hard work and the dogged determination of our Administration and Republicans and Democrats in both the House and Senate, this agreed upon budget delivers on bipartisan priorities to invest in our students, create safer communities, grow our economy, cut taxes and costs, responsibly spend taxpayer dollars, and build a better future with more freedom and opportunity for all Pennsylvanians.
“Governor Shapiro looks forward to signing this budget as soon as it reaches his desk and is thankful to the leadership and staff in his Administration and the legislature for their hard work and dedication.”
More to come.
