GrassrootsPA reported Tuesday that the Credentials Committee of the state Republican Party has invalidated the election of Vito Canuso as the chairman of the Philadelphia GOP.

A memo obtained by the Web site containing the committee’s report said Canuso should be removed because of “numerous irregularities” in his election. It called for the chair to remain vacant until a new, problem-free election can be held.
