State Rep. Seth Grove (R-York) was awarded “Legislator of the Year” by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a national group that promotes limited government principles.
Grove was given the award on December 7th.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by your peers, especially nationally,” Grove told PoliticsPA.
ALEC promotes “the principles of limited government, free markets and federalism” according to its website. It is made up of approximately 25% of the country’s legislators.
“Its a great organization that promotes free market principles, and brings people together from across the country to work together towards implementing those principles in the states,” Grove said.

Seth Grove is the easiest piece of ass ALEC has ever bought.
Seth also won customer of the year from Old Country Buffet. Didn’t receive any recognition, which is unfortunate. Rumor has it he cleaned the store on Loucks Road down in York out of chicken in 45 minutes!!
OK – let’s be clear what ALEC is. This is a group funded by special interests to bring in members of state legislatures to tell them how the 1% want them to legislate. This completely subverts the intent of elected officials representing the districts and the residents that they serve. These yo-yo’s like Grove go to ALEC who write the legislation they want and then Grove patters back to Harrisburg and introduces the legislation he was instructed / brain washed to introduce and support.
And he’s proud of that? ALEC is “a national group that promotes limited government principles” made up of people with limited principles in government. Fitting he got it on a day that will live in infamy.
