HD-105: Fleming Announces Reelection Run

Justin Fleming

State Representative Justin Fleming announced Monday that he will run for reelection to continue serving the 105th legislative district which consists of parts of Lower Paxton Township, Penbrook Borough, and Susquehanna Township in Dauphin County.

The former Susquehanna Twp. commissioner won his 2022 run, defeating Therese Lemelle Kenley by 27 points.

“Over the past year it has been an incredible honor to serve my neighbors in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and we have accomplished some big things including historic public education funding and Property Tax Rent Rebate program expansion, but there is more work to be done,” Fleming said in a statement.

His campaign announcement stated that the Pennsylvania House has passed a number of bills supporting Fleming’s legislative priorities including raising the minimum wage, protecting the rights of workers to organize, enacting a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for retired teachers and state workers, and much more but these bills have yet to be considered in the PA Senate.

During his first term, Fleming has introduced legislation which would enable homeowners to disavow restrictive covenants on their property deeds, bolster literacy for school children, simplify Miranda Rights for juvenile suspects, and incentivize re-development of shopping malls. Additionally, he has co-sponsored dozens of other legislative proposals.

“In this first year, I am most proud of the hundreds of constituents we’ve been able to help connect to state services,” Fleming said. “I will continue to focus on investing in public education, early learning in particular, healthcare affordability, supporting working families, and protecting fundamental rights.”
