Look familiar?
Last week, Tom Corbett’s campaign released a web ad that looked – and sounded – more like a movie trailer than a typical campaign spot.
Via ironically overwrought narration, it emphasized the natural resource development that has occurred during the Governor’s tenure and the more than 200,000 Pa. jobs spurred by Marcellus shale.
On Monday morning, Tom Wolf’s campaign dubbed over the Corbett spot it with his preferred take on Corbett’s resume. In the “unauthorized directors cut” version of the ad, Wolf attacks Corbett for his cuts to education, stance on women’s rights, alleged mishandling of Marcellus Shale, and more.
“There is one governor in the world who has cut more than a billion dollars from education,” the narrator intones. “Given away our state’s natural resources, attacked a woman’s right to choose, compared marriage equality to marriage between siblings, and blocked 90,000 children from receiving health care. That governor is Tom Corbett.”
Wolf is a businessman York County who formerly served as the Pa. Secretary of Revenue.
