Barack Obama and Bob Casey have healthy leads according to the latest poll commissioned by the Philadelphia Inquirer. Obama leads Mitt Romney 49 percent to 43; Casey leads Smith 49 percent to 42.
The survey was conducted by a pair of pollsters – one Democrat, one Republican – from Oct. 23 – 25. They polled 600 likely voters via live interviews with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.
In both races, that’s narrower than the Inky’s poll in early October. Then, Obama lead 50 percent to 42, and Casey lead 48 percent to 38.
Also in each case, the Inquirer shows a wider race than the average of polling. According to Real Clear Politics (which hasn’t yet incorporated these numbers), Obama leads by an average of 4.8 percent and Casey by an average of 5.8 percent.
Obama’s job approval remains positive in Pa. (53 percent to 45) as does his personal favorability (55 percent to 43).
He leads by double digits among women, 52 percent to 40. Romney leads mean by 1 point, 47 percent to 46.
Casey has an even larger advantage among women, 52 percent to 37. Smith leads men 47 percent to 46. He leads independent voters 45 percent to 36.

Honestly? Does anyone believe the Democratically owned Inquirer is providing accurate information?
These pollsters are embarrassing themselves.
