Judge Donohue Nabs PSEA Support

christine-donahueEndorsement season is well underway for Supreme Court candidate Judge Christine Donohue, adding to her large network of support with the backing of the PSEA today.

The Pennsylvania State Education Association – and its 180,000 members – are getting behind Donohue, after the PA AFL-CIO, PA Building and Construction Trades Council, American Federation of Teachers Pennsylvania, PA Pipes Trades, the AFSCME Council 13 and the SEIU PA State Council, as well as several Lehigh Valley Democrats, all gave their endorsements to the current PA Superior Court judge.

“We are excited about the support and resources these labor organizations bring to our campaign, and excited to see how labor is closing ranks in support of the Democratic candidates for Supreme Court,” Donohue spokesman Marty Marks said.

The PSEA has also endorsed Judges Kevin Dougherty and David Wecht to fill one of the three open seats on the PA Supreme Court, on Nov. 3.

“I couldn’t be happier about having the support of PSEA and the other labor organizations that speak and act for the working families of Pennsylvania,” Donohue said. “It is a wonderful and rewarding feeling connecting with values and experiences my parents provided me.”
