Kane Chooses Special Prosecutor to Investigate Email Chains

Kane-Constitution CenterThe former Attorney General of Maryland, Doug Gansler, stood at a podium in the auditorium of the National Constitution Center, and answered the questions reporters had intended for PA’s embattled AG Kathleen Kane.

It was that kind of day.

The event began with Kane’s spokesman Chuck Ardo introducing a number of the offensive emails which were displayed on the background wall of the theater. A representative from Philly NOW then spoke in support of Kane’s action, although the young woman declined to address any questions at that time. At least she said reporters could contact her later.

Just a few moments after that, Kane took the stage to a splattering of applause.

Denouncing the “thousands” of email messages, Kane introduced Gansler as the Special Prosecutor in charge of the event.

Like during her previous statement to the press, reporters in the audience interrupted the Attorney General to ask questions only to be ignored.

Shortly thereafter, Kane turned to critics of the investigation.

“To the few who challenge it [her authority to appoint a Special Prosecutor], including some members of my own staff, I pose a simple three-pronged question,” Kane stated. “1. Are you a white male? 2. Are you or one of your buddies in this email network? 3. Are you trying to get my job without the benefit of having to run for it and being chosen by the people of Pennsylvania.”

She then advocated for minorities who may have been made fun of by the attorneys and judges who are supposed to protect them and made the same point about women.

“No women should go to work and be subject to consistent treatment of disgusting indignity by women-haters,” she said. “Because they were born with one less body part, which the last I heard does not contain any extra brain cells.”

Kane soon left without taking any questions.

Gansler spent the majority of his time defending his authority despite the suspension of Kane’s law license and stated that his intention is to complete the investigation for less than the $2 million that was spent on the Moulton Report.

  1. Wait, what ? says:

@haha. I don’t know these guys but I suspect nothing will be found. By all accounts Fina was a top notch prosecutor and personal opinions aside, it’s hard to argue that the Sandusky prosecution was not a success after he was found guilty of 45 of 49 counts. Anyone with prosecutorial experience will tell you that’s a good outcome with a serial pedophile put away forever. I’m hoping that they were not stupid enough to engage in criminal behavior or ex parte communications with judges. But I look for positives not negatives. The real question is now that their racist emails have been exposed, how does Williams keep them employed investigating and prosecuting cases in a city that is 55% African American? Can they really have any credibility with a Philadelphia jury or judge? The answer is of course not. So what are they getting paid to do? any conduct by them is now suspect and subject to collateral attack. This is sad all around for the entire judiciary and one would hope that the Supreme Court step in soon and put an end to it before the credibility of the courts is irreparably destroyed.

HaHa ………. He just proved my point………

  3. HaHaHa says:

Wait — just because Seth Wiliams continues to employ Fina & Costano doesn’t mean “nothing” will happen to them. This is the first time they will be investigated … since Kane was prohibited from doing so based on the “Protective Orders” that Fina procured from his friends on the Bench.

These guys are going to prosecute if they find evidence of crimes. I agree that the hate-gate stuff will be nothing compared to the corruption they are going to find.

  4. Wait, what ? says:

What is the end game here? Other than spending millions of tax dollars on a wild goose chase? She already exposed the two worse offenders-Fina and Costanzo- and nothing happened to them. So why bother? I mean it’s not like those two guys have something on Seth Williams. Like maybe they handled anAG investigation of Williams that they shut down in exchange for a job? Or maybe Kane found out what they did and shipped it off to DOJ who opens up their own investigation of Seth with the IRS as reported by the Inquirer. I mean it’s not like Seth made a complaint to Judge Carpenter accusing the Pa AG of retaliating against him by shipping off the investigation to the Feds. Oh wait,…….still, this is a waste of $$$$

  5. HaHaHa says:

We need Observer here to tell us what really went down with the “sting” case. Apparently – Frank Fina was desperate to find a way to get that file out of the AG’s Office … I wonder why …. Hmmmmm … …. …

Let’s see — the lawyer that represented the star witness in the sting case (con-man Tyron Ali) talked Fina into dropping ALL CHARGES against Ali. Turns out that lawyer is also Fina’s lawyer.

Fina’s lawyer also convinced Fina to let his other client – Ali – keep the $400,000.00 he stole from the taxpayers of Pennsylvania.

Now Fina’s lawyer’s wife is the newly minted “General Counsel” at the D.A.s Office … despite having very poor qualifications.

    Hmmmmmmm

Someone is going to flip. Who will it be!?!

  6. HaHaHa says:

That pathetic troll has had all his comments removed before. He CLEARLY doesn’t want it to happen again. But – he just can’t stop trolling … … …

  7. Doglover2015 says:

You should see how much I love dogs. I mean – I really love them. And puppies too!! Please don’t ban me. Please!!! I have no life other than this crummy job at the rest-stop and my nonsense posts here. WAHHHHHHH … Please don’t ban me!!!

  8. Doglover2015 says:

Looks like HaHa his phony identities and his troll friends don’t like being challenged or put on the spot to support their allegations with fact. The best way they think to handle it is to ones Freedom of Speech. No one was calling to block IP addresses when a poster repeatedly referred to mentally challenged people as retards. Or, when one of the members was told he must be on a child predator list because he disagreed with another member. Other false accusations continue. The list goes on and on so if the Democrats want to stop my Freedom of Speech just know that you lack the facts or the intelligence to carry on a debate. I mean really calling someone a troll continuously that doesn’t get your IP address blocked But thinking that one may be tampering with email because a second post shows up different words in the center. I didn’t do it and I think it’s only fair to point that out. Do what you will but blocking my IP is your admission of defeat

  9. kraig001 says:

There is a troll that just keeps typing nonsense here. I am going to ask the moderators to ban his IP address. Enough is enough. For me, having to read this was the final straw:

“Looks like somebody was playing with my email since it got a second posting and two words from a prior email inserted.”

    That doesn’t even make troll-sense.

  10. Doglover2015 says:

Ha Ha looks like your getting desperate. Maybe he’ll ask his friend to delete it like the others. I think you are now the new troll boy. When you or your other identities here have something worthwhile to post like an answer to Terry M’s posting. If it’s more of the stupid troll stuff save it. Also, your CLOWN CAR is double parked outside your house.

Looks like somebody was playing with my email since it got a second posting and two words from a prior email inserted.

  11. HaHaHa says:

You have had enough attention for one day, troll-goy. Enjoy the rest-stop where you work. LOL …

  12. Doglover2015 says:

    HaHa

I may not know how racist he is but I know how racist you are. You deliberately posted a link which contained a vile and disgusting racist picture inviting people to look at it. Every time that picture is looked at as a result of your pristine your racial bigotry extends further and now you have been unmasked. I would like to see how many African Americans would not equally find your actions disgusting. Everyone should.

Unlike you I’ll post a link to pennlive where you can read more about the questionable background of the special prosecutor and some amazing similarities he has to Ms. Kane’s legal problems.

  13. Pat Unger says:

3 more comments under 3 different screen-names. And you are still OWNED.

  14. Spongebob says:

Wow the more that comes out about the special prosecutor the better it gets. This guy who could cost all of us 2 million looks like its a match made in heaven for KK. The state police exposed how he endangered others by ordering them to ignore safety laws, partied with kids drinking, had his ethics called into question. I love it. This is so awesome. I can’t wait for the legislature to boot her and shut this crazy lady down. Of course something else could happen that could cause this charade to end….

  15. Doglover2015 says:

  16. Terry M says:

*HaHaHa: “shillboy, Repervlican”, changes screen name to Pat Unger: “Clown Car, Fina troll”* *still can’t name a criminal law that would send anyone to jail over emails*

  17. Pat Unger says:

Exactly, Ha3. That troll doesn’t have any friends. And even his family members wouldn’t have lunch with him. LMAO.

I guess it worked on DD for 10 minutes so he is going to try it every day.

    OWNED AGAIN, troll-boy.

  18. HaHaHa says:

Seriously troll-boy. Try it on someone else. You are wasting your time.

After all, this is the image Frank Fina (currently a Phila ADA) sent around to his white male buddies:

    https://www.flickr.com/photos/zadock1/3580634808

    How “friggin” racist is he?

  19. Doglover2015 says:

HaHa. Here is something you can laugh at. Just got back from a quick lunch with an attorney friend of mine. Your name happened to come up and the fact that you posted the link with the disgusting racist people inviting people to look at it.
Since you are constantly making false allegations against Fina and you alledged that this picture was one that was sent to Fina. Is there a nexus that you could have sent the picture to Fina. Since there is the similarity the special prosecutor surely would want to investigate you as to how you and it is alledged that Fina have the very same disgusting picture. I’m sure that they will want to do a forensic analysis of your computer to check emails and to see if you have any other disgusting pictures. I believe your IP address has been captured. The prosecutor claims to have subpoena power to get your identity. Next a search warrant. I’m really getting a chuckle HaHA over this HaHA of course when they contact you I’m sure you’ll be calling them Trolls too.. Wait for that knock on the door it’s coming.

  20. Terry M says:

Marie, can you do any better than our buddy H3/PU and name the criminal law that Fina violated? I bet you can’t. Also, Joe Paterno enabled a child molester. Is he still your hero?

  21. Doglover2015 says:

    Just reported on Penn Live,

Attorney General Kathleen Kane on Tuesday appointed a special prosecutor who was himself sanctioned by the courts, is not licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, and has been photographed in the middle of a teen drinking party.

Oh this guy has lots of credability

  22. Terry M says:

H3/PU, you don’t respond substantively to Mickey or anyone else because you have nothing of substance to offer.

sklaroff, the weird thing is that Kane has said that impeachment would be the proper way to remove her from office. But she criticizes legislators for setting aside the election of her. What does she think impeachment would do?

  23. Marie says:

It will be fun to watch the Fina perp-walk. Wonder if Costanzo will be right next to him? Eakin — he will probably end up cooperating. He’s too old for prison.

The PSU folks must be ecstatic that Fina’s e-mails are about to be reviewed. They will probably get all sorts of juicy stuff that will expose that man’s obsession with the press and the attention he got going after a legend.

It’s all crashing down on him now – because he plays dirty pool.

  24. rsklaroff says:

In addition to my elucidation of AG-Kane’s external lewdness [vide infra], another dimension to her internal dissension was manifest in her statement {“To the few who challenge [my] authority [to appoint a Special Prosecutor], including some members of my own staff….”}.

She is therefore characterizing, in all probability, her perception of the inability to trust her four top aides [who testified before the Senate’s Special Committee]; if anything else is needed to prove how dysfunctional her ongoing leadership has now admittedly become, I suspect it will emerge [perhaps as an anticlimax] during her January hearing.

During this interim-period, she is undoubtedly sensing an erosion of sympathy for her plight; this will ease the pain among Dems who had been her most ardent advocates…after she has been forcibly retired.

  25. HaHaHa says:

OK “Mickey” … You got me with the new scene-name. But you know I don’t respond substantively to trolls like you.

  26. Terry M says:

H3/PU, are you just making shit up about Fina prosecuting a person for paying tuition over a state computer? Link to the story. I know you aren’t smart enough to back up your claims with a cite to the criminal law, so at least try not to make stuff up. And, please tell me how Fina goes to jail for sending or receiving emails that offend your delicate sensibilities.

  27. Mickey says:

HaHaHa, you forgot to switch to Pat Unger before using the same regurgitated line about Budd Dwyer. Also, the Clown Car has nothing to fear from two lawyers who don’t have a law license in PA. You’re seriously defending her?

  28. HaHaHa says:

If Frank Fina prosecuted a woman for paying her son’s Penn State tuition using her State computer, then I hope he goes to jail for 50 years for what he did. These guys think the rules don’t apply to them. Shame!!

  29. David Diano says:

$2 million should come out to $1 per racist/sexist email.

  30. HaHaHa says:

Mickey – she may be bats hit crazy. She may have committed a crime. And she may be in over her head as AG. But she is right about Fina & The Corbett Pervs.

And there is nothing the Clown Car can do to derail this investigation. Fina will be in jail before she is … if he doesn’t go all Bud Dwyer on us first.

He’ll be losing his job soon. There’s no way Seth Williams signed up for this.

  31. Mickey says:

Just an FYI to HaHaHa, Pat Unger, Marie, etc:

You are eagerly defending a person who said this publicly, “Are you trying to get my job without the benefit of having to run for it and being chosen by the people of Pennsylvania?” Anyone with an IQ north of 100 sees this person as completely and utterly batshit crazy.

  32. Terry M says:

So H3/PU, no info to back up your allegation that crimes were committed? Guess nobody’s going to jail then. Thanks for playing!

  33. HaHaHa says:

Wow … the Repervlican scum-bags are still attacking the prosecutor …. this time it’s just a different prosecutor ….

They sure do GOOGLE well … LOL …

  34. Terry M says:

So, H3/PU, are you going to name the criminal law that they broke or are you admitting that you don’t know anything?

And LOL at Kane picking a guy who’s hanging out with underage kids drinking alcohol! If Fina did that you guys would cream yourselves. LOL Kane, just LOL.

  35. Pat Unger says:

LOL at the troll-boy. He is now admitting he was once a colleague of Fina’s. And he is using the same language (“jerk”) that he has used under many different screen-names. He is such a TERRIBLE troll/shill. Too obvious.

And look at him get all angry now … “you don’t know shit.” What a pathetic loser.

  36. Terry M says:

H3/PU, if Fina is scared, then why did he file a lawsuit and open himself to discovery? That tells me that he’s laughing at you and your girl Kathleen. So, are you going to tell me what law he broke? Didn’t think so, because you don’t know shit.

  37. Terry M says:

Harry, just speaking the facts. How about you? By the way, I am not related to Fina. I worked with him for a number of years. He’s a jerk and I don’t care what happens to him. I just like OWNING H3/PU because they have some bizarre fixation with Fina and because they fully support the worst AG in history because of her party registration.

  38. HaHaHa says:

Well, troll-boy — if the last time there was an arrangement like this, the Independent Counsel was truly independent and “cleared” Fina of any political wrong-doing in the Sandusky prosecution, what is he so scared of now???

Oh … That’s right – he is GUILTY and GOING TO JAIL.

  39. Harry F. Truthteller says:

Terry M – it is obvious are a buddy/relative of Fina’s. You are not doing him any service here. In fact, you are making him look worse – if that is at all possible.

  40. Terry M says:

Oh look, now HaHaHa/Pat Unger is talking about federal prosecutors! So, now it’s time for HaHaHa/Pat Unger to name the FEDERAL law that Fina supposedly violated. Does anyone think he can actually do that? Nope, me neither.

  41. HaHaHa says:

O – Are Fina and Eakin the only ones left? Who do you think the AUSA’s are? And what other treasure troves are they going to find? Fina in constant contact with the Press leaking things from what are supposed to be secret grand juries? Because the WHOLE WORLD knows that Fina is famous for his LEAKS … and his racist, woman-hating e-mails.

  42. Terry M says:

kraig, the last time Kane had an arrangement like that, the investigator found no wrongdoing by Corbett, Fina, and the rest of the Sandusky prosecutors. So, I guess this is just another expensive stunt by Kane when no illegal conduct is even possible.

  43. Pat Unger says:

Bad day for Frank Fina. On the heels of finding out about the poll numbers below, he also finds out he is going to jail.

** Should Seth Williams Fire Frank Fina? **

    Yes (77%)
    No (23%)

  44. Observer says:

“Smattering” – not “Splattering.” Splattering is what Fina’s and Eakin’s careers are going to be doing…

  45. kraig001 says:

Nick Field – you should be ashamed of yourself. I watched it. You are being very dishonest/deceptive.

General Gansler spent a lot of time talking about how his team – which includes three Harvard attorneys and a forensics expert – was going to have NO CONTACT WITH KANE and look at everyone who may have committed a crime.

He made sure he added that he knew no one involved and had not seen any of the e-mails and said that he would go “where the facts took him.”

For you to focus your article on the things you did is just comical. And it should embarrass you. These people have been protected for long enough. The law is supposed to apply to everyone. And it looks like the powerful are soon going to be held accountable … if they did anything illegal.

  46. rsklaroff says:

AG-Kane has added a new dimension to those who find her stewardship to be disgusting.

The first ‘graph [“To the few who challenge it [her authority to appoint a Special Prosecutor], including some members of my own staff, I pose a simple three-pronged question,” Kane stated. “1. Are you a white male? 2. Are you or one of your buddies in this email network? 3. Are you trying to get my job without the benefit of having to run for it and being chosen by the people of Pennsylvania.”] contains an ultimate challenge that requires merely a dismissive response: Notwithstanding my demographics, I am not [and don’t know anyone who is] in the e-mail network she is probing, nor am I ambitious to replace you.

The fact that you would characterize your critics–including the governor–in this fashion suggests how low you have sunk.

The second ‘graph [“No women should go to work and be subject to consistent treatment of disgusting indignity by women-haters,” she said. “Because they were born with one less body part, which the last I heard does not contain any extra brain cells.”] is even worse that prompts an even more dismissive reaction: Notwithstanding the fact that I harbor the body-party that you [quasi-obscenely] cite, there is no sexism inherent in the attacks on your “stewardship” of your office.

It seems she has internalized lewdness, perhaps helping to antagonize her remaining supporters [particularly women who would otherwise want to prop-up her existence].

    So sad….

  47. Terry M says:

Kane left without taking questions. That sounds just like our friend HaHaHa/Pat Unger!

  48. Pat Unger says:

I can’t wait to see what they uncover. My bet is that the vile perverted racist material is the least of Fina’s worries.

If he used his e-mail on racist material, he surely used it on his corrupt dealings with Judges, the Press, and others.

He knows what’s coming – which is why he has been so DESPERATE to smear Kane. Hope he doesn’t go all Bud Dwyer on us …

  49. HaHaHa says:

The CLOWN CAR is going down. Start getting you affairs in order, boys. And get fitted for your ORANGE JUMP-SUITS.
