The former Attorney General catches a break. Well, a small one anyway.
Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy granted Kathleen Kane’s team a three week extension to file their appeal.
Kane’s December 16th deadline has now been moved to January 6th.
According to Wallace McKelvey of the Patriot-News, the need for the extra time was that Kane hired a new attorney after her sentencing and her team had yet to receive all the files from her previous representation.
As always, you can check out our comprehensive Kathleen Kane timeline here.

Poor Kathleen Kane. The show is over. She’s run out of avenues to hide.
Kane’s fabricated stories did not work.
Firing people inside the AG office (who knew the stunts she was pulling) didn’t work either.
And, she can’t charge anymore legal fees….or phony administrative costs onto PA taxpayers.
The show is over for Ms. Kane.
The end result is jail.
No such luck for her J.
Maybe she can share a cell with Chaka Fattah.
Then the real F##ken GAMES begin.
She will DEFINITELY be going to PRISON. DONE DEAL.
She will never go to jail. In fact, the only real question is whether she gets a new trial on appeal because of judicial activism and prosecutional over-reach…or is simply let go. Even money.
