Kane Parts Ways with Lanny Davis

Kane-sadAmidst the looming threat of possible criminal charges, Attorney General Kathleen Kane has parted ways with Lanny Davis, according to Steve Esack of the Morning Call.

Kane is facing allegations of a grand jury leak and witness intimidation.

Davis is a lawyer and a former White House aide from Washington, D.C. He served as the Attorney General’s spokesman throughout the Montgomery County grand jury probe into the possible leak by Kane of secret investigative materials to smear her critics.

This split is not new for Kane, as this is the 10th communication specialist who has parted ways with the Attorney General since she took office in 2013.

A reason has not been stated for Davis’ departure, a member of his firm simply stated that he no longer represents Kane. Davis has worked with Kane since November.

Throughout his time working for Kane, Davis was seen as her fierce defender, calling out her critics as “angry men” attempting to ruin her career.

Davis touts a long line of famous clients, including President Bill Clinton, Martha Stewart, an Ivory Coast president, and Penn State University trustees after the Sandusky arrest.

  1. WTH is going on? Calm before the storm?

The shills were here getting me all excited about a trial … and NOTHING,

Maybe DA Ferman is talking to AG Kane about the leaks of secret grand jury material being LEAKED to the INKY by The Clown Car … Craig & Angela have been coconspirators to Fina & The Corbett Pervs.

Glad to read that AG Kane is sticking to her guns … PROVE IT IN COURT OR SHUT UP

  2. Larry – you seem obsessed with the porn. There are other websites for guys like you …

Wonder if Davis’ departure means that charges are coming. Davis is more of a PR guy than a trial guy. It would seem she still needs help with PR …

There have been shills here suggesting that AG Kane is about to be charged. Perhaps they are correct … or maybe she can’t afford him anymore. We shall see. But it is now Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday …

  3. Must be pretty bad when someone who represented the Clintons can not or will not represent Kathleen Kane.

Those who use personal wealth to buy an office end up spending the last of their fortunes on attorneys whose goal it is to keep the elected/appointed person out of prison.

  4. This is what you get when the voters hire an executive with no experience.
Waiting to see her do the “Perp “Walk” on the 6 oclock news…

  5. Incompetence has its consequences; politically and administratively, Kathleen Kane has failed. The people of Pennsylvania are fortunate that career prosecutors continue to do their jobs even with lack of leadership.

  6. It was a match made in Hell, but obviously Lanny has to devote more time to Hillary and can not be dragged down by the Scranton Tornadeo

  7. Lanny has always been more of a mouthpiece than an actual defense attorney. At this point in the process, his usefulness – considering his price tag – is at an end.
