Kathleen Kane emerged victorious yesterday and hit the airwaves to reflect.
After the State Senate failed to remove her from office, the Attorney General granted her first interview in months to WNEP’s Sarah Buynovsky.
“I’m happy and I believe my supporters are happy and Pennsylvanians are happy to move on,” she said of the result.
The Attorney General also made clear she believes it is her mission to remove politics from government.
“Now that I’m on the inside and I see it and I feel it everyday. I realize now more than ever that politics is a disease on this commonwealth and it needs to be cut out,” Kane states.
The AG was less critical of the recent effort to launch impeachment proceedings in the State House.
“At least it’s the right process, you know,” she said. “I never believed that this senate was the right process and I like everyone to follow the rules. The rules are supposed to be followed for everyone no matter who they are or where they are in their lot in life and the Constitution says the proper process is impeachment.”
She also reiterated her belief that she is being persecuted because of her efforts to uncover the various pornographic and offensive emails that have been sent and shared by state officials.
“I know I did nothing wrong. I know it and I know that they will see it too,” she asserted.
Finally, Kane told Buynovsky she is still weighing whether to run for re-election and noticed the results of the latest Harper Poll that had her leading the Democratic field.
“I’m not surprised because everywhere I go I feel the support of Pennsylvanians,” she stated. “They’re tired of what’s happening, I think they see through everything that’s going on. They’re very supportive.”
“I think that when you’re faced with the situation I have been faced, you find your inner grit, and I think I found it more than I ever thought I had it,” Kane concluded.

She will run. And she will win. She has my vote. And the vote of every woman I know.
She said a long time ago that she wasn’t going to run for re-election. But, if she does not, the bad guys will do everything on their power to delay/frustrate the Special Prosecutor in the hopes that the new AG will let it go.

Considering how she has been treated, I wouldn’t blame her for not wanting the job.
If she isn’t on the ballot for November, there is no longer any reason for her August trial. They’ll either drop it or offer her a sweetheart plea cheaper than court costs, all misdemeanors (no perjury).
She could make plenty writing a tell-all book.
We’ll know in two days if she files petitions.
Rumor has it that Kathleen Kane will not file a nomination petition to become a candidate for re-election as Attorney General. She will release a statement claiming that she is concentrating on defending herself against false accusations, and wants to protect the reputation of the office. The real truth is she doesn’t have the support to gather and defend the minimum number of signatures she needs to get on the ballot, isn’t and can’t raise $ needed to run a competitive campaign and is using the campaign $ she has to pay her lawyers in the criminal action.

Bottom line.
Nothing has been proven. The allegations are just that. The DA looking for fingerprints all this time later prove how WEAK they think their case is.

DD – a guy with “98” and “cess pool” in his screen name typed confidently that “Shameless” and Johnny Doc set up Kane. He posited that the reporter who broke the Mondedire story is a known accomplice of Doc and that he gets fred drinks at Doc’s bar. He said we could look up many other articles written by that same author where Doc (or McCaffery) was the leak. He implied that A King and/or J Morrow were in on the frame job.

There is no doubt in my mind that this was a set-up. But I have never heard that Doc and Shameless were involved. It seems like a bit of a stretch. And your screen name would imply a bias.
Morrow Has definitely told two different stories. The Fact that Brennan is tight with Doc means nothing. In fact – we know that Kane and the McCafferys were once close. Dan spoke at her inauguration. Playing devil’s advocate: perhaps they told Kane who to go to (Brennan) when she wanted to leak something that would embarrass Fina.
I have no idea what happened. But I wouldn’t trust King, Morrow, or Fina as far as I could throw them.
Can’t wait until the Special Prosecutor completes his investigation. I would imagine that “flippers” have already been hitting him up for immunity/deals. Only Seth Williams is dumb enough to go down with the likes of Frank Fina.
