Kathleen Kane is getting mad and getting even.
Today, the State Senate committee investigating the Attorney General recommended to the full body that she be removed from office.
Unsurprisingly, she was not pleased with their findings.
“Today, a handful of senators sought to substitute their judgment for that of more than 3 million Pennsylvanians who cast their vote for the duly elected, independent Attorney General,” she wrote in a response statement. “I believe this attempt to remove the Attorney General from office is unconstitutional and intend to vigorously defend the Office of Attorney General against any and all future efforts by this committee or the Senate as a whole.”
Kane then transitioned to the pornographic emails, seeking to shift attention onto her enemies and their poor judgment instead of her’s.
“Over the past few weeks, there has been a chorus rising up across this Commonwealth to condemn the content of emails sent and received by a justice of our Supreme Court, as well as those sent and received by former deputies in the Office of Attorney General of Tom Corbett and Linda Kelly,” Kane stated. “This chorus condemns more than the racist, misogynistic, homophobic and religiously offensive content of these emails; it condemns the network of judges and lawyers circulating these emails on public computers across state-owned servers.”
“I have heard this chorus loud and clear,” she pledged. “Next Tuesday, I will announce my selection of a team of special prosecutors to go through every public email account trafficking this filth and track down every public server over which it was circulated. At that time, I will outline the prosecutorial powers that these special prosecutors will have to identify any violations of the criminal, civil and ethics laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In addition, I will call upon the Department of Justice to investigate emails circulated on the public email accounts of assistant U.S. attorneys in this state.”
“There can be no greater duty of an Attorney General than to restore the confidence of the public in the integrity and fairness of their judicial system. I intend to carry out this duty no matter how hard some in the Pennsylvania Senate seek to prevent me from doing so,” Kane concluded.

I forgive everyone. Obviously I have moved on. As long as men try to take women out of high government positions there is going to continue to be abuse, violence towards women. All men with daughters and grand daughters should think very clearly about that. As a woman, I will continue to support her. I’m sure what was done to me has been done to many other women and it needs to stop. I feel she will protect women. Oh, but you see, guys don’t like that do they? End the violence against women!

There is no doubt there is corruption. my ex husband filed false police reports against me. Because he was friends with a judge, lawyers and police; they sided with him and assisted him in abusing me. I was tossed in jail twice for no reason, and they kept me from seeing my kids for a entire year, including every holiday. My ex told me he was in the mans club. I was damaged, devistated and had a mental breakdown after everything they did to me. My ex said, if you divorce me, I will make sure you lose everything, you house, your kids and your job; and he did; all out of spitefulness. He too was a pervert, out cheating on me. Then when I had enough of his crap, he wouldnt let me go. There is no doubt the system is broken. Its all sickening. People think about who they are hurting and change for the good of everyone. They all need counceling and guidence; but they all need a job too. If everyone would think about who they are hurting this nonsense wouldnt go on. I think she is a intellegent woman and was doing a awesome job. Everyone needs to get help, change, forgive and move on. Of all people to hurt; Im a nurse. David there were multiple instances in which he was accused of harassment to the point it was decided he violated policy and was recommended to be terminated. She terminated the person who made the recommendation instead. There were 2 additional internal incidents that have also been reported to media outlets. Also she was a subordinate at the bar. A huge no no. Also ask me if he had complaints filed in his role before coming to the ÅG’s office . Hint the answer played a role in the decision. To recommend terminating him. But yeah sure lets ignore all that and give him ultimate power in the office.

Don’t you mean promoted a guy who allegedly harassed?
The one incident I read about was that outside of the office, at a bar, he was having drinks with a female co-worker. At some point, he put his hand on her leg, but when she told him that she wasn’t interested, he removed it. I’d hardly call that harassment. I didn’t read that he made any other pursuit of her, in or out of the office since.
If there is more to the story, I’m not aware of it.

The charges against her (nothing proven) are so minor, that even if true, they shouldn’t amount to more than a minor fine or some simple disciplinary action. Nothing remotely criminal in the charges.
What is criminal, is the abuse of power by her persecutors. More should fall as more emails come out. I think the feds and justice department should be looking into all the stuff Kane has uncovered.

What are you smoking? I’ve long said that what she’s been charged with, even if all true, amounts to no real crimes. The real crime has been the how the friends of Fina have been prosecuting this and trumping up charges. With all the leaks, it will be difficult for Kane to receive a fair trial. We’ve already seen how a supreme court justice like Eakin, with a conflict of interest, had dodged the original inquiry into his emails and ruled against Kane.
Kane has revealed the corruption in the system as pervasive. She’s as hero.

I’m sure you and your fellow right-wing pervs would love to “nail” Kane, but she’s way out of your league.
I stand by my assertions that she’s being railroaded (so, her persecutors prevailing does not change the injustice of it). The crimes she’s alleged to commit are so minor that the deserve no more than a fine, not removal. The perjury charges remain bogus.
The senate committee has purposely misapplied the constitution with a deliberate misinterpretation. This matter will likely wind up in the Supreme court for a ruling on the constitutional powers of the senate regarding the AG (beyond actual impeachment, which is not an authority in dispute).
For all the problems (real and imagined) people are complaining about, Kane has done a HUGE service to the voters by exposing the sordid inner-workings of the judicial branch. Such revelations would never have come about with either Pat Murphy or the GOP pick. What has been going on with these judges and prosecutors for years has been an utter disgrace.
So, if anyone reading this is friends with Kathleen Kane, please convey to her my thanks on this Thanksgiving, for exposing all this corruption.
