Kranser Wins Philadelphia District Attorney Democratic Primary

BGNXb78dLarry Krasner has won the Democratic Primary for Philadelphia District Attorney.

Krasner defeated six other Democrats for the nomination with 37% of the vote with 83% of precincts reporting. Krasner made national headlines by receiving endorsements from John Legend, Susan Sarandon, and receiving money from a George Soros backed PAC.

Democrats outnumber Republicans in the city of Philadelphia 7-1, which makes Krasner the heavy favorite in the general election. Krasner will face GOP nominee, Beth Grossman in the District Attorney election in November.

  1. Seneca-

Krasner won on message and a big desire for civil rights and reform in the DA’s office. The other candidates offered “more of the same”.

  2. George Soros’ money just bought him another DA. And Philadelphia is no small potatoes for him.

  3. The corrupt/scandal-ridden Philly DA’s office is decades overdue for some civil rights reform.

Maybe the cops will cut down on beating and shooting people, too.

  4. Congrats Lawrence Krasner on winning the primary tonight and I think for you will win the general election very easily.

  5. Kane really did get the last laugh. At this rate, it looks like Rufus could see a jail cell before she will, and certainly before Vanessa Lowerty-Brown. Such a mess.

Still, I see Abraham and Sprague and Zauzmer making some headway, and I suspect either Abraham or Tucker will be our next DA (briefly?)

  6. Never heard of him, but can’t help but be a big improvement over Seth Williams. So happy Kathleen Kane brought Seth down.
