LIUNA Local 413 Endorses Voit for Treasurer

voitGOP nominee for State Treasurer Otto Voit won the rare labor endorsement for a Republican.

The Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local Union #413, along with the Guardian Civic League, are backing Voit.

“Labor is the backbone of our nation and our commonwealth and Otto Voit has shown a genuine concern for our workers and their families,” said James Harper, Jr., Business manager for the Local #413. “We are proud to endorse him and urge all Pennsylvanians to vote for him as our next State Treasurer. The corruption in Harrisburg threatens jobs and livelihoods across Pennsylvania. We need a voice for the people in Harrisburg. Otto Voit will be that voice.”

“I am humbled and honored to have the endorsement of both the Local #413 and the Guardian Civic League of Philadelphia,” responded Voit. “Both these organizations serve to provide a voice for the hardworking people of Pennsylvania. They understand the need for integrity and accountability in leadership and I look forward to working with them as Treasurer.”

Voit is running against Democratic nominee Joe Torsella to be Pennsylvania’s next State Treasurer.
