Local Chamber Group Endorses Pat Meehan for Congress

SEPAC, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chambers Political Action Committee, says Meehan understands needs of small businesses

DREXEL HILL, PA – SEPAC, the Political Action Committee comprised of representatives from multiple Chambers of Commerce across Southeastern Pennsylvania, has endorsed Pat Meehan for Congress in the 7th Congressional District.
 
“The candidates endorsed by SEPAC recognize the needs of businesses in Southeast PA and across the Commonwealth. They understand what is required to improve the business climate in Pennsylvania, including the lowering of business taxes, regulatory reform, fiscal responsibility, tort reform and promoting sound business policies,” said Ken Russell, SEPAC Board Chairman.
 
“SEPAC is a Political Action Committee comprised of Members from the Delaware County, Main Line and TriCounty Area Chambers of Commerce. These three chambers of commerce represent over 5,000 members across 4 counties,” Russell continued.
 
“Business owners across the 7th District know that Washington Democrats’ big-government policies are preventing an economic recovery,” said Pat Meehan. “Just last month, the nation lost nearly 100,000 jobs and unemployment has remained above 9.5% for 14 months in a row. Only when businesses feel confident that they will not face higher taxes or added regulatory burdens will they begin to invest and hire new employees.”
 
“SEPAC’s endorsement of my campaign sends a strong message to Democrats that business owners in Southeastern Pennsylvania are tired of massive government takeovers and tax increases. I’m truly grateful for SEPAC’s support, and I am eager to go to Washington to work to create the conditions that will foster job creation and economic growth,” Meehan concluded.
 
Pat Meehan has received broad support from both business and labor groups.  In addition to today’s announcement, Meehan has been endorsed by the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, United Aerospace Workers Local 1069, and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 8.
