Lt. Gov.: Unopposed, Cawley Posts Slow Period

With no Republican opponent, and the top of his ticket raising millions, Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley raised little in April.

For the period covering from the beginning of March to May 5, Cawley raised $5,139. His contributions came mostly from a $1,000 check from the Committee for Fiscal Responsibility and $2,014 from Judson Kroh of Robindale Energy, an appropos donation given Cawley’s re-election hopes this year.

He spent $39,813.66 over the period, including a $10,000 contribution to the Senate Republican Campaign Committee and $25,000 to Pennsylvania Future Fund. Cawley also gave to several Republican Representatives seeking reelection themselves this year, including Glen Grell, Mark Keller and Seth Grove.

Before this period, Cawley brought forward $440,223.81 and ended the first week of May with $405,549.15 – certainly enough to cover his expenses in a primary without any opposition.
