“Democrats in Pennsylvania dodged a bullet last week, thanks to voters’ anger over abortion rights being threatened — and an assist from Gov. Josh Shapiro.
On Tuesday, the party held onto its razor-thin majority in the state House, winning a special election for a seat in the Philadelphia suburbs. Democrats had gone all in on the race, spending nearly $1 million and even securing a last-minute endorsement from President Joe Biden to back Heather Boyd, a former congressional aide running for the seat.” (POLITICO)

5. A ‘Taco Tuesday’ Trademark Tiff
“Declaring a mission to liberate “Taco Tuesday” for all, Taco Bell is asking U.S. regulators to force Wyoming-based Taco John’s to abandon its longstanding claim to the trademark.
Too many businesses and others refer to “Taco Tuesday” for Taco John’s to be able to have exclusive rights to the phrase, Taco Bell asserts in a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filing that is, of course.
“Basically what this is about is you cannot trademark something that is ‘generic,’” New York trademark law attorney Emily Poler said. “That means it doesn’t have any association with that particular source or product.”

I want to be first in line to congratulate my cousin
Stevie Zappala jr for winning the Republican write in nod for Allegheny County District Attorney. It would have made his daddy very proud because we ALL thought he was an idiot. If he can now
Convince Blacks, progressives, Trump Democrats and ordinary white people to switch sides he may only lose by 100,000 votes. As for Republicans,
They are stuck with him and thanks to his other cousin Sad Sam Demarco the Republican chair who pulled off the write in win Zap will tank the whole Gop ticket. Its ok. He will say he only ran to protect Democrats.
