Muhlenberg College Poll: Trump 38% Kasich 24% Cruz 21%

trumpThe Donald is still the front-runner.

According to the latest Muhlenberg College/Morning Call poll, Trump still leads his GOP competitors.

Trump receives 38% with John Kasich in second at 24% and Ted Cruz third at 21%. When leaners are included, the numbers shift to Trump 41% Kasich 26% Cruz 23%. This is not much different than the results Muhlenberg found last week.

Donald Trump is ahead among almost all demographics except those with a college degree, moderates and somewhat liberals who went with Kasich.

The Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion surveyed 422 likely Republican voters in Pennsylvania from April 7th to April 12th. The margin of error is +/- 5.5%.

CBS Poll

CBS News and YouGov also did a survey of the PA GOP presidential contest.

Once more, Trump leads with 46%. This time, though, Cruz is second with 26% and Kasich is third with 23%.

Trump leads with all demographics but very conservatives, which went for Cruz, and 18 to 29 year-olds, which went for Kasich.

The CBS News/YouGov poll surveyed 837 likely Republican voters and was conducted from April 13th to 15th. The margin of error is +/- 4.8%.

  1. Michael – yes; they’re an internet-based market research firm. FiveThirtyEight gave them a C+ and note a mean-reverted bias of about R+1.2. Not great, but certainly not the worst out there, like a Research2000 or TCJ Research.

  2. Find out how the presidential delegates plan to vote! Our non-partisan, unbiased website has compiled all the delegate lists. We have contacted any questionable candidates, and have scoured all social media and news media to verify they are indeed committed to their position. We have 15 people working on this non-stop update the list daily, as needed. As far as I am aware, we are the only group doing this. We also have a complete write-up on how the process works. Any candidates listed as supporting a particular presidential candidate have been vetted as thoroughly as possible to ensure that they intend to follow through with this commitment! Remember that there is no legal commitment or delegate binding for any Pennsylvania delegate to the convention – their vote or support may change at any time. Find us at http://www.vote-pa.com/
