Speaking to a conference of county commissioners today in Lancaster, Governor Corbett said he would most likely veto any impact fee proposal. Tom Murse of the Lancaster newspapers has the story.
Asked whether he would veto a budget bill that proposes an “impact fee,” Corbett responded: “I would certainly lean that way right now. I always keep the option open to see what they’re doing, but I have to tell you, how many years has this been going on? This could have been done years ago.”
He also said he would be willing to miss the June 30 budget deadline if it meant sticking to his stated $27.3 billion target spending.
“If they come in with $27.35 (billion), we’re going to be there until July 1, or 2, or 3, or 4,” Corbett said. “I can be in Harrisburg as long as it takes to do this the right way.”

Corbett should keep the taxes low, the money is just going into the politicians pockets or their cronies.
