NBC/Marist Poll: Trump, GOP Underwater; Wolf, Casey Favorable

The latest NBC/Marist shows Pennsylvanians are still divided on President Trump, and the Republican Party.  Governor Tom Wolf and Senator Bob Casey both had positive approval ratings.

According to the poll, 33% of Pennsylvanians approved of the job Trump is doing as President, while 53% disapproved.  Only 9% of Democrats approved, while 71% of Republicans approved of his performance.

The Republican Party also had similar problems in the state, 57% have an unfavorable view of the Republican Party versus 30% who have a favorable view.  With registered voters, it becomes 60% unfavorable and 30% favorable.

Pennsylvanians have a favorable opinion of Wolf, 46% of adults have a favorable opinion while 35% have an unfavorable opinion.

Casey’s favorability is positive, but below Wolf’s.  37% of Pennsylvanians have a favorable view of Casey, and 26% have an unfavorable view.  The largest percentage, 38%, were unsure or had never heard of him.

The poll surveyed Congressman Lou Barletta (R-Luzerne) on a statewide basis, and found that almost three-quarters of registered voters, 74%, had never heard of him or were unsure of their opinion on him.

The survey was conducted between August 13th and 17th, and surveyed 915 adults in Pennsylvania via landline and mobile phones.  The poll has a 3.2% margin of error.

  1. Let’s see if we have this right-
    A President who is corrupt
    A President who incited racism
A President who pits people against each other-
A President who engenders anti Semitism
A President who corrupted the IRS–
A President who embarrassed our Nation
    and disgraced the Office-
Barak Obama- more corrupt than Nixon more
    incompetent than Carter.

    1. You spelled “Trump” incorrectly. Or do you think there are many fine people who march with white supremacists in a march organized by white supremacists? You clearly think there’s nothing wrong with Trump profiting off his public office, or do you not understand what “corrupt” means either?

      1. Don’t like Trump much either- but whether white supremacist or black racist- both are contemptuous. Whether Breitbart or the Black Lives Matter- we can let neither intimidate us into silence.

  2. The Dems are running men next year, except maybe not Casey, so they won’t be dragged down when the cracker ads kick in. Still, a female lt. Guv can kick it all back on the street. Stick with Stack unless his shorty gets out of the ding a ling den.

  3. The 9% of reputed Dems who approve of Trump are senile old folks who forgot they switched sides under Nixon. Or else they are hard of hearing and thought the question was do they like to hump?

  4. This is because the GOP has embraced such a dark anti-freedom, anti-American, ethno-nationalist agenda. Scary stuff.

    1. Huh, you’re kidding right? The Antifa or Democratic Party is against freedom of speech, against freedom of religion, anti-military and anti police.

      1. Hey Jeff, is your brother named Ziggy? Informality wins the day, right? Ziggy Heil, mann.
