NRCC Adds Lewis and Pries to “On the Radar” Program

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced the additions of businessman Andrew Lewis and Dauphin County Commissioner Mike Pries to its “On the Radar” program.

“We’re excited to announce another round of impressive candidates who’ve put themselves in position to be successful in 2018,” NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers said.

Being added to the list does not mean the NRCC will be investing in the race, as they do not get involved in open primaries.

To get onto the list the candidates had to prove their viability by hitting certain marks in fundraising, messaging and communications.

Lewis becomes the second candidate in the 11th district to be named to the program, joining former Revenue Secretary Dan Meuser as part of the program.  They are running against state Rep. Steve Bloom, former Federal prosecutor Joe Peters, and former RNC delegate Andrew Shecktor in the primary.

Pries, who is running for the 15th district, is running against Dean Browning, businessman Dan David, state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh), Lehigh county Commissioner Marty Nothstein, Dauphin county Commissioner Mike Pries, and former CIA officer and Trump delegate to the RNC last year Scott Uehlinger in the primary.

  1. drewy boy lewis and mike “price is wrong” two idiots that were made for each other neither has a brain in his head

    1. I happen to know Andrew and Mike. Your comments are inaccurate and inappropriate towards both. But we all have a right to our own opinions. Andrew has burned some bridges, that’s for sure.

  2. DEAN Browning, not Dan Browning! He is past chairman of the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners.

    1. Dean Browning’s entrance has changed the landscape of the race entirely. He knows it. His opponents know it.

  3. Wow Lewis from outsider to wanna be NRCC establishment, that’s a 180. Too bad for Lewis that Dan has already locked in all the establishment support. How can you give lip service to being an outsider and still take the NRCC path.

  4. Lewis’s ego is definitely big enough to get picked up by radar. Young kid with a big mouth and small brain.

  5. I’m sure most radars would pick up Andy Lewis, especially standing next to his man Joey D. Can’t miss him.

    1. Mike Pries spoke at our Berks committee meeting last week. He is not in my District but he was very impressive.

      1. I think I might have seen Mike Pries at this same event. He was maybe the 3rd best presentor. He doesn’t support Trump openly, so he doesn’t have my support.

        1. Mike also didnt keep his word to people on certain things as a Commissioner. That is going to come back to haunt him

          1. Stop the presses. Do tell us more. A politician who made promises he couldn’t keep. I am shocked. Shocked I tell you!

        2. Ryan Mackenzie was easily the best speaker at the event. He is strong on immigration and openly supports Trump. He will win this race.

          1. What are you smoking? Mackenzie has been so underwhelming it’s been the talk of the race.

          2. Mackenzie nailed it at a recent speaking engagement. He is a very impressive young man.
