NRCC Showcases Meuser in its “On the Radar” Program

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) put out its first “On the Radar” list for Republican candidates it showcasing ahead of 2018.  On the list is former Revenue Secretary Dan Meuser, who is running to replace Congressman Lou Barletta in the 11th Congressional district.

According to Roll Call, the list does not mean the NRCC will donate to the candidates, as they do not get involved in open primaries.

“These 31 candidates are formidable competitors against the liberal agenda of Nancy Pelosi and the left.  We look forward to working with these candidates to grow our Republican majority and enact policies that help hard working Americans,” NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers said in the statement announcing the  list.

To get onto the list the candidates had to prove their viability by hitting certain marks in fundraising, messaging and communications.

Meuser is running against state Representative Stephen Bloom (R-Cumberland), Businessman Andrew Lewis, and former Trump delegate to RNC Andrew Shecktor.  Former federal prosecutor Joe Peters is also considering a run for the seat.

The NRCC also named businessman John Chrin, who is running to challenge Congressman Matt Cartwright (D-Lackawanna), to the list.  Chrin is currently the only Republican candidate in that race.

  1. As expected, mostly white businessmen who will spew the same trickle down BS we’ve heard for the last 40 years.

  2. Dan Meuser is a committed conservative who knows how to get things done. He will fight for the Trump agenda and actually get things done.

  3. Typical liberal or desperate R remark… accusing one of exactly what you are guilty… let’s just hope we don’t elect an ideologue who does nothing more than a liberal by getting in the way of the Trump agenda…..Go Meuser

  4. Establishment comes out for establishment. Because this worked so well for strange in Alabama.

  5. On their radar to become the next scandal tainted member of the GOP. He will be the rights version of Anthony Weiner.
