October 10th Playbook

The President is set to hold a rally in Erie tonight, while a New York Times/Siena College Poll shows Kelly leading by 8 in PA16. Here is the Playbook.

New York Times/Siena College Live Poll: Kelly 50 DiNicola 42: 53% polled prefer the Republicans to maintain their majority in the House of Representatives.

PA17: Lamb, Rothfus Talk Trump, Kavanaugh and More in 1st Debate: The candidates have different opinions on holding town halls.

PA11: Rep. Smucker and Jess King Share Different Vision in 1st Debate: Smucker touted the tax reform bill for a growing economy, while King believes economic mobility is at an all time low.

PA16: Rep. Kelly and Ron DiNicola Spar in 1st and Possibly Only Debate: Both candidates spoke about reaching across the aisle in Washington D.C.

New Monmouth Poll for PA17: This poll set to release later today will be their first on this race since July which showed Lamb leading Rothfus 51-39.

Congressional Leadership Fund Attacks Wallace on Taxes: The Conservative PAC dings Wallace on a tax lien and paints the Democrat as beholden to Pelosi and an advocate for raising taxes on middle class families in a new television ad. The Wallace campaign disputes these claims and believes Fitzpatrick is not to be trusted on taxes. “Brian Fitzpatrick and his allies continue to sling mud and distort the truth because they don’t have any legislative accomplishments to run on,” said Zoe Wilson-Meyer, Communications Director for Wallace for Congress. “Scott Wallace has paid all of his taxes in full, period. It’s Brian Fitzpatrick we can’t trust on taxes – he voted for the new tax law that gave 83% of the benefits to the wealthiest Americans, raises taxes on thousands of Bucks and Montgomery County families, while increasing our deficit by $2 trillion and to pay for it, plans to cut Medicare and Social Security.”
