1. Fetterman Addresses Health, Other Issues During Editorial Board Interviews

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman spent time with editorial boards from the Harrisburg Patriot-News and the Philadelphia Inquirer on Wednesday, taking questions about his health and other hot-button issues.

Appearing via video link in Harrisburg, Fetterman responded to queries about his recent stroke, crime, building a consensus in the split Senate, and avoiding Sean Hannity.

He asked that closed captioning be used in the interview, noting his auditory processing concerns, and noted that his opponent – Republican Mehmet Oz – has not responded to PennLive’s invitation to meet with the board. (PennLive)

2. PA-12: A Mike Doyle Dilemma. Voter Confusion Between Retiring Democrat and Republican Newcomer

“In Allegheny County, the name “Mike Doyle” is about as institutional as they come. The longtime congressman has served the area for years in Washington, and his name has peppered the region’s billboards, road signs and campaign literature since the 1990s.

But be warned: Mike Doyle — the Forest Hills Democrat — is not running for re-election this year. He’s retiring.

The Mike Doyle on this November’s ballot is an entirely different person; he’s a Republican, as a matter of fact, and a Plum Borough councilman.” (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

3. PA Democrats Working To Turn State House of Representatives Blue

“Midterm elections are usually tough for the president’s party, and that would be the Democrats this year.

But Pennsylvania Democrats think they could turn the state House of Representatives blue. If it happens, it could be a rare state chamber flip in a year that a lot of observers think will be pretty good for Republicans.” (CBS Pittsburgh)

  1. I never heard of patch.com but they are misinformed. PA -06 covers a large section of Berks county including the city of Reading but not southeastern Berks as they reported.

  2. Fetterman’s health is a loser argument. Baby boomers are aging and living longer due to meds and some who exercise and eat better. But despite our best efforts we can get sick and recover. Telling an older population in PA about someone who was I’ll is a loser.

    1. Fetterman is only 50 not a baby boomer. Has the health of an ill 75 year old perhaps. What is he hiding in his medical record? He is a hot mess on all levels.
